Mike Penfold, Governor

Mike is a former pupil of Mary Hare, leaving after A Levels in 1999 to pursue a career in Civil Engineering. After graduating with a Masters from Loughborough University in 2004, he is now based in the West Midlands working for a Major Engineering Consultancy Firm.
As a Chartered Engineer / Technical Director, Mike undertakes several day to day roles. As well as managing large complex railway infrastructure projects, he also leads on the recruitment and career learning / development of people, including apprentices and early career professionals people joining the industry.
Outside of work, as well as looking after his two children, he has a keen passion for sport and in partcular cycling and can be regularly found in the lanes of Warwickshire and the Cotswolds.
