Course description

This course trains students to become Educational Audiologists or Audiologists in Education. Delivered in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire. The PGDip has an intake every two years with the next one in Sept 2024.  Alternatively, modules can be taken individually as stand-alone. The course has been accredited and graduates can choose to professionally register with the Academy for Health Care Science.

This course provides opportunity for the development of knowledge and critical reflection on the scientific principles and research underlying audiological practice and habilitation of children and young people who are deaf. Students will be encouraged to develop and relate evidence-based practice to their own professional experience. Practical workshops, and work-based placements are used to support the acquisition of practical and professional skills.
