On Thursday 15 August, Sixth Form students at Mary Hare School celebrated as they received their results for A-Levels, BTECs, and Technical Qualifications.

Our students proudly celebrate a 96% pass rate for grades A* to E in A Levels and a 100% Pass to Distinction rate in Level 3 Diplomas and BTECs. Students pursuing vocational qualifications at Entry Level and Levels 1 and 2 also excelled, securing a 100% pass rate across a diverse array of qualifications. These include subjects such as Plumbing Studies, Carpentry, Beauty Therapy, Animal Care, Childcare, Catering and Land-based Studies.Numerous stories of success are worthy of celebration as most students have secured a place at their first-choice universities to go on to study a range of subjects such as Veterinary Medicine, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence), and Law.

Others are set to successfully embark on their next steps in college, apprenticeships, and employment or will take a gap year.

It was a nervous few days leading up to results day and so I was thrilled when I received my A level results which now allow me to fulfil my long-held dream of studying Veterinary Medicine. I have secured a place to study at the University of Nottingham and will be starting in April.

I have worked really hard, but I know that this success has only been possible due to the excellent support I have received whilst I have been at Mary Hare School; especially the Sixth Form teachers who have gone above and beyond to help me with my studies and also to guide me through my University application process.

I will always be very grateful for the opportunities that Mary Hare have given me and will look back with fond memories and appreciate the influence all the teachers and staff have had on me.

“I am so pleased with my results. I have been at Mary Hare for an extra year until Year 14 to get my exams and I finally did it! I can now go onto a Foundation Degree in Art at last! It was all worth it in the end and I couldn‘t have done it without all the help and support I had from school. I am really happy and thankful to Mary Hare for all they have done for me.”

Principal Robin Askew, said, “Our students should feel proud of their achievements which are important milestones in supporting them to follow their ambitions. I would like to recognise the hard work of the students and staff in helping to secure these results and wish all our leavers well as they transition to universities, colleges or employment.”
