Primary School pupils pick books for their library at local bookshop.

Back
A row of primary pupils are standing in front of a bookshop holding their books and smiling.

This week Mary Hare Primary School took a trip in the beautiful sunshine to visit the The Hungerford Bookshop, where they had the chance to each pick a selection of books for their school library.

Our Primary School library is due for a fresh update of books and, through the generous £500 grant from Siobhan Dowd Trust, the pupils were thrilled as they perused the shop to make their selections.

Thank you to The Hungerford Bookshop, who were very welcoming as the pupils enjoyed combing through the wide selection of books on offer, and a thank you to Siobhan Dowd Trust for enabling our pupils to choose the books they'd like to have on their library shelves.Reading and literacy play a key role at in our support for deaf children and education, and they can't wait to start reading
