Pippa zooms in to hand out awards

Back
After what has been a challenging year for everyone, Mary Hare wanted to bring a little Christmas cheer by producing its own Christmas cards, designed by the pupils at the School

The school was delighted when Pippa Middleton, its Ambassador, agreed to give out the awards to the winners in a ‘virtual ceremony‘ on Friday 11th December, which also happened to be UK Charity Week‘s ‘Christmas jumper day‘. The pupils were particularly excited to see Pippa entering into the spirit wearing her Christmas jumper. The whole school was invited to enter a Christmas card competition during lockdown and pupils from every year group at the Primary and Secondary school came up with some amazing designs

The winning entries were chosen by a panel of judges by school

The Primary School cards were judged by Pippa Middleton, Ambassador; the Secondary School judges were Sallie Greenhalgh, Governor, Kirsten Loyd, Chairman of the Mary Hare Foundation, Harriet McCalmont, Trustee of the Mary Hare Foundation, Jonathan Pratt, Managing Director of Dreweatts Auctioneers and Diana Pattenden, local artist and sculptor. The judges agreed that “It was a difficult choice, with some excellent designs.”

The cards are on sale on the Mary Hare website and all proceeds will go towards their current appeal to build a new primary school on the secondary site. A pack of 12 cards costs £5.00 + postage
