April scored her first try for the squad on Sunday

She said, 'I've been training with the England Ladies Deaf Team since September last year after a friend introduced me

I was nervous to apply at first because they are an incredibly high level team that train at the top of their game, but even after a few sessions I had learnt so much

It has been such an honour to be selected and to represent England.' April's love of rugby began when she was at Mary Hare when she was introduced to the sport by Neil Owen, her PE teacher

She said,'I kept my promise to Mr Owen that I would continue to play rugby!'
