On Saturday 25 June 200 past pupils came together to mark 75 years of Mary Hare in a special reunion event.

The day began with a few weclome words from Principal, Peter Gale, followed by Vice Principal, Robin Askew, who shared some of recent updates with the school including the new Primary School project and some exciting projects in the pipeline. The sun was shining as visitors then enjoyed the grounds, toured round some of the buildings more familiar as well as explore newer additions such as Cole's Diner. In Arlington Arts Centre many enjoyed music performed by Lumpy Custard, who were a school band at Mary Hare back in 1975. In the Manor there was a special exhibition, showcasing many memories of Mary Hare, including the uniform across the decades, memorabilia, photos and newspaper clippings.

Alumni Chair, Derek Grabham, said,'I am very delighted to know the our 75th Anniversary Reunion at Mary Hare school was a resounding success. There were 250 guests embarking on that day and they all have enjoyed themselves seeing their old friends, looking around the school buildings and most of all, they were amazed by the exhibition we have put on in the old needlework room in the Manor. The Lumpy Custard music band had put two great performances much to the delight of our guests. We can now look forward in 4 years time (2026) to celebrate our 80th Anniversary. Watch this space!! Also, the Chair will welcome any younger ex-pupils to be part of the Alumni Committee for our future plans. We love to hear your views especially from the younger generations'The day culminated by the Manor, where the Alumni Chair, Derek Grabham, and one of the eldest alumnus, Ron Sutton, together unveiled a commemorative plaque outside the front of the building
