Mary Hare Sixth Form

We have a large and vibrant Sixth Form offering a wide range of A Levels, BTECs and vocational courses.

Students at Sixth Form are surrounded by a big group of deaf peers and can enjoy a great social life. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in school life including working at our youth club, Coles Diner, gaining Life Skills and lifeguard qualifications. There is also a network of support through our Transition Programme, where students can develop their independence as they take their next steps into further education or employment.

T Levels

As well as a wide range of A Levels, BTECs and technical courses, we are now offering students to study T Levels for a limited number of subjects for September 2025. This new level 3 qualification combines academic learning with hands-on experience.

I currently work at a University as an Academic Affairs Senior-Coordinator. In my role, I support students with disabilities, mental health, learning differences and dyslexia to ensure they receive the relevant support to access their education.

I received the news that I am to be awarded a British Empire Medal for me 'hands-on' service that has made a significant difference to the lives of people in the local community. To be recognised and honoured by our late, Her Majesty The Queen, for my services to the Education and Accessibility sector is just staggering.
