Bicycle Mechanics

Course details

The Entry Level 3 Award and the Level 1 Award both offer the learner the opportunity to build their knowledge and skills.

Assessment is through the completion of practical tasks ranging from removing and refitting a wheel and puncture repair to removal, refitting and setting up multi speed gear assemblies.

The Level 1 course continues to develop the students understanding of bike mechanics and provides the students with the opportunity to study modules in more depth.

Entry requirements
You should have completed your GCSE courses and taken the examinations. You must be 16 years of age.

Course assessment
The assessment for this course will include the completion of practical tasks and mandatory modules.
