Emma has worked at Mary Hare School since 2009.

Emma completed her BA in Music at Exter University, her PGCE at Bristol University and her PG Certificate in Education (Hearing Impairment) at Oxford Brookes. Emma then started her career as a Music Teacher and has taught in mainstream 11-19 provision in subject lead roles and has taught one to one, working with children with additional needs. During her time at Mary Hare, Emma has been Head of Performing Arts, leading the Music, Drama and Dance department and has also had the role of Head of Years 9, 10 and 11. In 2015 Emma became Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead  and in 2021 took the role of Assistant Principal and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Emma has been Vice Principal (Pastoral) since September 2022.  

Emma is also Governor for a local mainstream through school (4-19).
