Professional Courses
BackMaxine Smith is a member of the Courses Administrator team at Mary Hare, having worked here since 2019. Her work focuses on the administration of a variety of courses, including the MSc/ PGDip Educational Audiology and BTEC Level 3 Award for Teaching Assistants Working with Sensory Impaired Children and Young People; and previously for the Hearing Care Assistants course.
She works specifically on the new enquiries and applications for the bi-annual intake of MSc students, co-ordinating their registrations with the University. Also, for the smooth running of the on-site study weekends that take place 4 times a year, managing any student and/ or lecturers queries and concerns. In the administration of the BTEC course, she ensures all students, markers and verifiers are meeting their assignment deadlines and that all relevant documentation is in place for the annual moderation meeting and Pearson’s standards verification audit for both Mary Hare and the Virtual School Sensory Support in Norfolk. Students have commented regarding the excellent level of service our department offers and how responsive we are offering guidance on processes and pastoral care. Maxine is a friendly and organised member of the team.
