Katherine has worked at the school for 19 years, having qualified as a Speech,  Language and Hearing Therapist in 2004 in South Africa. Since starting at Mary Hare, Katherine has completed a Masters degree in Human Communications and has become a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. As Head of the Speech Therapy team and Katherine is very passionate about developing communication skills both within the school setting as well as in the 'wider hearing world' as it is a fundamental life skill. She is dedicated to supporting families in advocating for themselves, particularly in relation to the EHCP process and school placement. "It is a privilege to work with families and be part of a Deaf young person's educational journey". 

Katherine is registered with both the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council.
