I have been a Module Leader and examination marker for both the Yr 1 (7FHE 1090) and Yr 2 (7FHE 1094) Audiology modules on the trainee Teacher of the Deaf course since graduating myself as an Educational Audiologist from the Mary Hare master’s degree course in 2014, which was affiliated to the University of Oxford Brookes at that time. 

I have over 30 years’ experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf, having previously worked in units for D/deaf children and across the age group as a peripatetic TOD, mainly in the north-west area.  I am currently the Operational Lead and Manager of the Liverpool Sensory Service, a position I have held since 2019, leading a large team of QTODs, Communication Support Workers, Specialist TAs and a native Deaf BSL/Educational Instructor.  I also hold a small teaching caseload, mainly of pre-school families of D/deaf children as well as the role of Educational Audiologist.
